# Aaron Parry

**Aaron Parry** (died July 19, 2023) was an American [synagogue](/source/Synagogue) [rabbi](/source/Rabbi), counter-missionary expert, and author of several beginners books on [Judaism](/source/Judaism).

He was formerly the Rabbi of Young Israel of Beverly Hills. He was also the former education director for the [West Coast](/source/West_Coast_of_the_United_States) branch of [Jews for Judaism](/source/Jews_for_Judaism),[1] and has been quoted as an expert on Jewish counter-missionary activity.[2][3]

Parry held a Master's degree in Jewish Studies from [New York State University](/source/State_University_of_New_York).[4] He taught at [Shalhevet High School](/source/Shalhevet_High_School) in [Los Angeles](/source/Los_Angeles).[5] A few days each season, since 2000, he set up and managed a [kosher](/source/Kashrut) food stand at [Dodger Stadium](/source/Dodger_Stadium).[6]

Parry died at age 66 in 2023 of a heart attack.[7][8][9]
