His bands included Martha Dumptruck (named after a character from the 1988 film ''[Heathers](/source/Heathers)'') and the spoof-[metalcore](/source/metalcore) band Miss Thing. In 1997, Aaron performed as the lead vocalist for the San Francisco-based [dark-punk](/source/Deathrock) band [The Little Deaths](/source/The_Little_Deaths) which featured Mikel Delgado of Cinnamon Imperials and later, Whysol Lane, Scott Bradley of Bumblescrump and, initially, Trixie of Kreviss.
