**Aaron Comrie** (born 3 February 1997) is a Scottish professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays for as a [right-back](/source/Defender_(association_football)#Full-back) for [Greenock Morton](/source/Greenock_Morton_F.C.). Comrie previously played for [St Johnstone](/source/St_Johnstone_F.C.) and [Dunfermline Athletic](/source/Dunfermline_Athletic_F.C.), and had loan spells with [Montrose](/source/Montrose_F.C.) and [Peterhead](/source/Peterhead_F.C.).

## Career

Comrie began his career in the youth setup at [Celtic](/source/Celtic_F.C._Under-20s_and_Academy) joining aged nine,[1] making his way up to under-17 level at which point he was released.[1]

Following his release by Celtic, Comrie signed for [St Johnstone](/source/St_Johnstone_F.C.) in February 2015.[2]

In December 2015, Comrie moved on loan to [Montrose](/source/Montrose_F.C.) initially for one month,[3] then the deal was extended for the remainder of the season.[4]

On 25 August 2016, Comrie made his debut for St Johnstone, coming on as a substitute in the first minute following an injury to [Richard Foster](/source/Richard_Foster_(Scottish_footballer)) away to [Hamilton Academical](/source/Hamilton_Academical),[5][6] earning praise afterwards from manager [Tommy Wright](/source/Tommy_Wright_(footballer_born_1963)).[6]

In January 2017, Comrie along with St Johnstone teammate [Liam Gordon](/source/Liam_Gordon_(footballer%2C_born_1996)) joined [Peterhead](/source/Peterhead_F.C.) on loan until the end of the season.[7][8]

After returning to St Johnstone, Comrie made his first start for the club, in a 1–1 draw away to [Celtic](/source/Celtic_F.C.) on 26 August 2017,[9][10] where he was involved in an early collision with his teammate [Murray Davidson](/source/Murray_Davidson), which left Comrie with a cut and forced Davidson off with concussion.[10]

At the end of the [2018–19 season](/source/2018%E2%80%9319_St_Johnstone_F.C._season), Comrie was released by St Johnstone.[2]

On 15 May 2019, Comrie signed for [Scottish Championship](/source/Scottish_Championship) club [Dunfermline Athletic](/source/Dunfermline_Athletic_F.C.) on a one-year contract with the option of a second.[11] A mainstay of the first team since arriving, by the start of the [2024-25](/source/2024%E2%80%9325_Dunfermline_Athletic_F.C._season) season Comrie was the longest serving player in the Dunfermline squad having made 169 appearances in four seasons.[12] He made over 200 appearances before being released in May 2025.[13]
