{{Use mdy dates|date=March 2025}}
The '''AIDSRides''' were a series of fundraising events organised by Pallotta TeamWorks which raised more than $105 million for critical AIDS services and medical research.{{Citation needed|date=January 2009}} About half of the money raised directly benefited AIDS patients.<ref>{{cite news| url=https://www.sfgate.com/health/article/AIDS-Ride-planners-sue-S-F-charity-over-new-race-2840953.php | work=The San Francisco Chronicle | title=AIDS Ride planners sue S.F. charity over new race | date=December 13, 2001}}</ref>

In 2001, the [San Francisco AIDS Foundation](/source/San_Francisco_AIDS_Foundation) and the [Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center](/source/Los_Angeles_Gay_and_Lesbian_Center) ended their partnership with the California AIDSRide over concerns that not enough money was going to the charities. They hired Honeycutt Group, a consulting firm started by three former Pallotta TeamWorks employees, to organize [AIDS/LifeCycle](/source/AIDS%2FLifeCycle), a similar event. [Dan Pallotta](/source/Dan_Pallotta) unsuccessfully sued the "copycat" event,<ref>{{cite news| url=https://money.cnn.com/magazines/fsb/fsb_archive/2002/03/01/319484/index.htm | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20080129151826/http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fsb/fsb_archive/2002/03/01/319484/index.htm | url-status=dead | archive-date=January 29, 2008 | work=CNN | title=Dan Pallotta's bike-tour and walkathon business has raised more than $200 million for AIDS research & other charities.
