# ABS F.C.

**Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC** is a Nigerian association football club from [Ilorin](/source/Ilorin), [Nigeria](/source/Nigeria). They were promoted to the [Nigeria Premier League](/source/Nigeria_Premier_League) at the end of the [2009–10 season](/source/2009-10_Nigeria_Premier_League). They played their debut season's home games in [Offa](/source/Offa) and [Bauchi](/source/Bauchi_(city)) while the [Kwara State Stadium](/source/Kwara_State_Stadium) was being renovated.

They were put up for sale in July 2011 and bought by outgoing [Kwara State](/source/Kwara_State) governor [Bukola Saraki](/source/Bukola_Saraki) for 250,000,000 [naira](/source/Naira), making them and [JUTH F.C.](/source/JUTH_F.C.) the only Premier League teams that are not state-owned.[1]

In 2011, the team was renamed from Bukola Babes to ABS (Abubakar Bukola Saraki) FC.

In 2016, the team returned to the [Nigeria Professional Football League](/source/Nigeria_Professional_Football_League).[2]
