# 7-ACA

**7-ACA** (**7-aminocephalosporanic acid**) is the core chemical structure (a [synthon](/source/Synthon)) for the synthesis of [cephalosporin](/source/Cephalosporin) [antibiotics](/source/Antibiotic) and intermediates.
