The following [radio stations](/source/Radio_broadcasting) broadcast on [AM](/source/AM_broadcasting) frequency **540 kHz**: 540 AM is a Canadian and Mexican [clear-channel](/source/Clear-channel) frequency.[1] [CBK](/source/CBK_(AM)), [Watrous](/source/Watrous%2C_Saskatchewan)-[Regina, Saskatchewan](/source/Regina%2C_Saskatchewan), and [XEWA](/source/XEWA-AM) [San Luis Potosí](/source/San_Luis_Potos%C3%AD), [Mexico](/source/Mexico), share [Class A](/source/List_of_broadcast_station_classes) status on 540 kHz.

Because 540 kHz is a multiple of both 9 and 10, the frequency is available for use by broadcast stations in [all three ITU regions](/source/ITU_region).[2]
