The **3rd [Gemini Awards](/source/Gemini_Awards)** were held in 1988 to honour achievements in [Canadian television](/source/Television_in_Canada).[1] The ceremonies were sponsored by the [Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television](/source/Academy_of_Canadian_Cinema_and_Television) and held at the [Metro Toronto Convention Centre](/source/Metro_Toronto_Convention_Centre) on 29 and 30 November.[2] It was broadcast on [CBC](/source/CBC_Television).
