Both [Kevin Tierney](/source/Kevin_Tierney), vice-chairman of cinema for the [Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television](/source/Academy_of_Canadian_Cinema_and_Television), and [Martha Burns](/source/Martha_Burns), the winner of the Genie Award for Best Supporting Actress, openly criticized the shutout, with Tierney likening it to "being sent to the kiddie table".[1] ## Awards
