The **2020 Astana Open** is an [ATP](/source/ATP_World_Tour) tournament organised for male professional tennis players, held in [Nur-Sultan](/source/Nur-Sultan), Kazakhstan, at the end of October 2020 on indoor [hard courts](/source/Hard_court). It was primarily organised due to the cancellation of many tournaments during the [2020 season](/source/2020_ATP_World_Tour), because of the ongoing [COVID-19 pandemic](/source/COVID-19_pandemic).[1] It is the first edition of the tournament and it took place in [Nur-Sultan](/source/Nur-Sultan), [Kazakhstan](/source/Kazakhstan), from October 26 through November 1, 2020.[2]
