The **2017 Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup** (SWC) was the seventeenth [Speedway World Cup](/source/Speedway_World_Cup), the annual international [motorcycle speedway](/source/Motorcycle_speedway) world championship tournament organised by the [FIM](/source/F%C3%A9d%C3%A9ration_Internationale_de_Motocyclisme). The next edition would not be held until six years later in 2023. The 2017 event took place between 1 July and 8 July 2017 and involved nine national teams.[1] [Poland](/source/Poland_national_speedway_team) successfully defended their [2016 title](/source/2016_Speedway_World_Cup).[2][3]
