The **2016 Brisbane International** was a tennis tournament of the [2016 ATP World Tour](/source/2016_ATP_World_Tour) and [2016 WTA Tour](/source/2016_WTA_Tour). It was played on outdoor [hard courts](/source/Hard_court) in [Brisbane](/source/Brisbane), [Queensland](/source/Queensland), Australia. It was the eighth edition of the tournament and took place at the [Queensland Tennis Centre](/source/Queensland_Tennis_Centre) in [Tennyson](/source/Tennyson%2C_Queensland).
