The **2014 Rio Open** was a combined men's and women's professional [tennis](/source/Tennis) tournament played on outdoor [clay courts](/source/Clay_court). It was the inaugural edition of the [tournament](/source/Rio_Open), and part of the [2014 ATP World Tour](/source/2014_ATP_World_Tour) and the [2014 WTA Tour](/source/2014_WTA_Tour). It took place at the [Jockey Club Brasileiro](/source/Jockey_Club_Brasileiro) in [Rio de Janeiro](/source/Rio_de_Janeiro), Brazil between 17 February and 23 February 2014. [Rafael Nadal](/source/Rafael_Nadal) and [Kurumi Nara](/source/Kurumi_Nara) won the singles titles.[1]
