The **2014 [Bandy World Championship](/source/Bandy_World_Championship)** was held between 26 January and 2 February 2014, in [Irkutsk](/source/Irkutsk) and [Shelekhov](/source/Shelekhov), [Russia](/source/Russia). 17 nations participated in the tournament, playing in two divisions partitioned into two subdivisions.[1] A team representing [Somalia](/source/Somalia_national_bandy_team) took part, the first squad from Africa to play in the [Bandy World Championship](/source/Bandy_World_Championship).[2]
