It was the 21st edition of the [PTT Pattaya Open](/source/PTT_Pattaya_Open) and was part of the [International category](/source/WTA_International_tournaments) on the [2012 WTA Tour](/source/2012_WTA_Tour). It took place at the Dusit Thani Hotel in [Pattaya](/source/Pattaya), Thailand from February 5 through February 12, 2012. Third-seeded [Daniela Hantuchová](/source/Daniela_Hantuchov%C3%A1) won the singles title.

Third-seeded [Daniela Hantuchová](/source/Daniela_Hantuchov%C3%A1) won her second consecutive singles title at the event and earned $37,000 first-prize money.[1]
