It took place in the [Pabellón As Travesas](/source/Pabell%C3%B3n_As_Travesas), in [Vigo](/source/Vigo), [Galicia](/source/Galicia_(Spain)), on 21 & 22 December 2012. It was hosted by [Liga ASOBAL](/source/Liga_ASOBAL), Vigo city council & [Academia Octavio](/source/SD_Octavio_Vigo). Vigo hosts Copa ASOBAL for third time. [FC Barcelona Intersport](/source/FC_Barcelona_Handbol) won its eight title and qualified for [2013–14 EHF Champions League](/source/2013%E2%80%9314_EHF_Champions_League).
