It was held at the [Utsubo Tennis Center](/source/Utsubo_Tennis_Center) in [Osaka](/source/Osaka), Japan, from October 10 through October 16, 2011. Second-seeded [Marion Bartoli](/source/Marion_Bartoli) won the singles title.
