It was the fifth edition of the tournament which was part of the [WTA International series](/source/WTA_International_tournaments) of the [2011 WTA Tour](/source/2011_WTA_Tour). It took place in [Bad Gastein](/source/Bad_Gastein), [Austria](/source/Austria) between 11 and 18 July 2011. Unseeded [María José Martínez Sánchez](/source/Mar%C3%ADa_Jos%C3%A9_Mart%C3%ADnez_S%C3%A1nchez) won the singles title.
