The teams competing are [Armagh](/source/Armagh_GAA), [Fingal](/source/Fingal_GAA), [London](/source/London_GAA), [Louth](/source/Louth_GAA), [Monaghan](/source/Monaghan_GAA), [Roscommon](/source/Roscommon_GAA), [Sligo](/source/Sligo_GAA) and [Tyrone](/source/Tyrone_GAA). The 2009 champions, [Meath](/source/Meath_GAA) were promoted to the [Christy Ring Cup](/source/Christy_Ring_Cup) for 2010, and did not have the opportunity to defend their title. [2009 Lory Meagher Cup](/source/2009_Lory_Meagher_Cup) champions, [Tyrone](/source/Tyrone_GAA), were promoted to play in the Nicky Rackard Cup this year.
