The **2009 [China League One](/source/China_League_One)** was the sixth season since the establishment. The season kicked off on 28 March 2009 and ended on 25 October 2009.

Winners and runners-up were promoted to [Chinese Super League](/source/Chinese_Super_League) [next season](/source/2010_Chinese_Super_League) and the last placed team was relegated to [League Two](/source/China_League_Two). League One would be expanded to 14 teams the season after.

[Zhu Zhengrong](/source/Zhu_Zhengrong) of [Shanghai East Asia](/source/Shanghai_Port_F.C.) scored the first hat-trick of the season against [Sichuan](/source/Sichuan_F.C.) at [Shanghai Stadium](/source/Shanghai_Stadium) on 28 August 2009.

[Léo Gamalho](/source/L%C3%A9o_Gamalho) of [Shenyang Dongjin](/source/Shenyang_Dongjin_F.C.) scored the second hat-trick of the season against [Nanchang Bayi Hengyuan](/source/Shanghai_Shenxin_F.C.) at [Shenyang Olympic Stadium](/source/Shenyang_Olympic_Stadium) on 10 October 2009.

[Martin García](/source/Mart%C3%ADn_Garc%C3%ADa_(footballer%2C_born_1981)) of Nanchang Bayi Hengyuan scored the third hat-trick of the season against [Nanjing Yoyo](/source/Nanjing_Yoyo_F.C.) at [Bayi Stadium](/source/Bayi_Stadium) on 25 October 2009.

## Promotion and relegation

After [2008 season](/source/2008_in_Chinese_football), [Jiangsu Sainty](/source/Jiangsu_F.C.) and [Chongqing Lifan](/source/Chongqing_Liangjiang_Athletic_F.C.) were promoted to [2009 Chinese Super League](/source/2009_Chinese_Super_League) and [Yantai Yiteng](/source/Shaoxing_Keqiao_Yuejia_F.C.) were relegated to [2009 China League Two](/source/2009_China_League_Two). They were replaced by [Guangdong Sunray Cave](/source/Shaanxi_Wuzhou_F.C.) and [Shenyang Dongjin](/source/Shenyang_Dongjin_F.C.) which were promoted from [2008 China League Two](/source/2008_China_League_Two) and [Liaoning Whowin](/source/Liaoning_F.C.) who were relegated from [2008 Chinese Super League](/source/2008_Chinese_Super_League).
