It was the 33rd edition of the event and was part of the [International Series](/source/ATP_International_Series) of the [2005 ATP Tour](/source/2005_ATP_Tour). The tournament was played on [outdoor clay court](/source/Clay_court) and held from 7 February to 14 February 2005. Second-seeded [Gastón Gaudio](/source/Gast%C3%B3n_Gaudio) won the singles title.[3]
