The **2003 Women's British Open** was held 31 July to 3 August at [Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club](/source/Royal_Lytham_%26_St_Annes_Golf_Club) in [Lancashire](/source/Lancashire%2C_England), [England](/source/England). It was the 27th edition of the [Women's British Open](/source/Women's_British_Open), and the third as a [major championship](/source/Women's_major_golf_championships) on the [LPGA Tour](/source/LPGA_Tour). [TNT Sports](/source/Warner_Bros._Discovery_Sports) and [ABC Sports](/source/ABC_Sports) televised the event in the United States and [BBC Sport](/source/BBC_Sport) in the United Kingdom.

[Annika Sörenstam](/source/Annika_S%C3%B6renstam) won the sixth of her ten major titles, one stroke ahead of runner-up [Se-Ri Pak](/source/Se-Ri_Pak), the [2001](/source/2001_Women's_British_Open) champion. The victory completed the career [grand slam](/source/Grand_Slam_(golf)) for Sörenstam.[2]
