It was the 24th edition of the [Paris Masters](/source/Paris_Masters) and was part of the [Mercedes Super 9](/source/ATP_World_Tour_Masters_1000) of the [1996 ATP Tour](/source/1996_ATP_Tour). It took place at the [Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy](/source/Palais_Omnisports_de_Paris-Bercy) in Paris in France from 28 October through 4 November 1996. [Thomas Enqvist](/source/Thomas_Enqvist) won the singles.[3]
