It was the 87th [Hamburg Masters](/source/International_German_Open), and was part of the [ATP Championship Series, Single Week](/source/ATP_Masters_Series) category of the [1993 ATP Tour](/source/1993_ATP_Tour). It took place at the [Rothenbaum Tennis Center](/source/Rothenbaum) in [Hamburg](/source/Hamburg), Germany, from 3 May through 10 May 1993. Sixth-seeded [Michael Stich](/source/Michael_Stich) won the singles title.[3]
