It was the 43rd edition of the [tournament](/source/Swedish_Open) and was held from 9 July until 15 July 1990. [Richard Fromberg](/source/Richard_Fromberg) and [Sandra Cecchini](/source/Sandra_Cecchini) won the singles titles.
