The **1990 Speedway World Pairs Championship** was the twenty-first [FIM](/source/F%C3%A9d%C3%A9ration_Internationale_de_Motocyclisme) [Speedway World Pairs Championship](/source/Speedway_World_Pairs_Championship).[1]

The final took place at the [Ellermühle Stadium](/source/Ellerm%C3%BChle_Stadium) in [Landshut](/source/Landshut), Germany.[2] The championship Final was dominated by favourites [Denmark](/source/Denmark_national_speedway_team) and the less fancied [Australia](/source/Australia_national_speedway_team). Danes [Jan O. Pedersen](/source/Jan_O._Pedersen) and [Hans Nielsen](/source/Hans_Nielsen_(speedway_rider)) scored 43 points to narrowly beat Australians [Todd Wiltshire](/source/Todd_Wiltshire) and [Leigh Adams](/source/Leigh_Adams) who scored 41.[3] [Hungary](/source/Hungary_national_speedway_team) ([Zoltán Adorján](/source/Zolt%C3%A1n_Adorj%C3%A1n) and [Sándor Tihanyi](/source/S%C3%A1ndor_Tihanyi)) finished a distant third on 33 points. [Sweden](/source/Sweden_national_speedway_team) ([Jimmy Nilsen](/source/Jimmy_Nilsen) and [Per Jonsson](/source/Per_Jonsson)) also finished on 33 points, though as Hungary scored three heat wins to one for the Swedes they were awarded third place.[4]
