The men's tournament was held at the [du Maurier Stadium](/source/Jarry_Park_Stadium) in [Montreal](/source/Montreal), [Quebec](/source/Quebec), in Canada and was part of the [1987 Nabisco Grand Prix](/source/1987_Nabisco_Grand_Prix) while the women's tournament was held at the [National Tennis Centre](/source/National_Tennis_Centre_(Canada)) in [Toronto](/source/Toronto), [Ontario](/source/Ontario), and was part of the [1987 Virginia Slims World Championship Series](/source/1987_Virginia_Slims_World_Championship_Series). The men's tournament was held from August 10 through August 16, 1987, while the women's tournament was held from August 17 through August 23, 1987.[3][4]
