# 1985 Davis Cup Eastern Zone

The **Eastern Zone** was one of the three regional zones of the [1985 Davis Cup](/source/1985_Davis_Cup).

12 teams entered the Eastern Zone in total, with the winner promoted to the following year's World Group.[1] [New Zealand](/source/New_Zealand_Davis_Cup_team) defeated [South Korea](/source/South_Korea_Davis_Cup_team) in the final and qualified for the [1986 World Group](/source/1986_Davis_Cup_World_Group).[2]
