The **1981 Bandy World Championship** was the 12th [Bandy World Championship](/source/Bandy_World_Championship) and was contested by four men's [bandy](/source/Bandy) playing nations. The championship was played in [Khabarovsk](/source/Khabarovsk) in the [Soviet Union](/source/Soviet_Union) from 7 to 15 February 1981. [Sweden](/source/Sweden_national_bandy_team) became champions for the first time.[1] The [Soviet Union](/source/Soviet_Union_national_bandy_team) had won all previous championships.[2]
