The **1974 Stockholm Open** was a men's [tennis](/source/Tennis) tournament played on indoor [hard courts](/source/Hard_court) which was part of the AA category of the [1974 Commercial Union Assurance Grand Prix](/source/1974_Commercial_Union_Assurance_Grand_Prix) and took place at the [Kungliga tennishallen](/source/Kungliga_tennishallen) in [Stockholm](/source/Stockholm), [Sweden](/source/Sweden). It was the sixth edition of the tournament and was held from 26 October through 11 November 1974. Fourth-seeded [Arthur Ashe](/source/Arthur_Ashe) won the singles title, his second at the event after 1971, and earned $12,000 first-prize money.[2]
