'''132 Tauri''' is a [binary star](/source/binary_star)<ref name=Eggleton2008/> system in the [constellation](/source/constellation) [Taurus](/source/Taurus_(constellation)). It is faintly visible to the naked eye with an [apparent visual magnitude](/source/apparent_visual_magnitude) of 4.89.<ref name=Eggleton2008/> Based upon a poorly constrained annual [parallax shift](/source/stellar_parallax) of {{Val|8.97|1.98|ul=mas}},<ref name=vanLeeuwen2007/> it is located roughly 360&nbsp;[light year](/source/light_year)s from the Sun. The system is moving further away with a heliocentric [radial velocity](/source/radial_velocity) of +16&nbsp;km/s.<ref name=deBruijne2012/> It lies near the [ecliptic](/source/ecliptic) and thus is subject to occultation by the Moon. One such event was observed September 3, 1991.<ref name=Meyer1995/>

This system forms a wide [double star](/source/double_star) with an [angular separation](/source/angular_separation) of {{Val|3.8|ul=arcsec}} along a [position angle](/source/position_angle) of 230°, as of 1991. The brighter star, component A, has an apparent magnitude of 4.99 while the fainter secondary, component B, is of magnitude 9.09. The primary is itself an unresolved binary<ref name=WDSC2014/> with a combined [stellar classification](/source/stellar_classification) of G9&nbsp;III,<ref name=Keenan1999/> which matches an aging [G-type](/source/G-type_star) [giant star](/source/giant_star) that has exhausted the hydrogen at its core and [evolved](/source/stellar_evolution) away from the [main sequence](/source/main_sequence).
