# 11th Magritte Awards

The **11th Magritte Awards** ceremony, presented by the [Académie André Delvaux](/source/Acad%C3%A9mie_Andr%C3%A9_Delvaux), honored the best [films of 2020](/source/2020_in_film) and [2021](/source/2021_in_film) in Belgium. It took place on 12 February 2022, at the [Square](/source/Square_%E2%80%93_Brussels_Meeting_Centre), in the historic site of [Mont des Arts](/source/Mont_des_Arts), [Brussels](/source/Brussels). It was the first ceremony in two years after the 2021 event was cancelled due to the [COVID-19 pandemic](/source/COVID-19_pandemic).[1] During the ceremony, the Académie André Delvaux presented [Magritte Awards](/source/Magritte_Award) in 23 categories. The ceremony, televised in Belgium by [La Trois](/source/La_Trois), was produced by Leslie Cable and Tanguy Cortier and was directed by Benoît Vlietinck.[2] Film director [Thierry Michel](/source/Thierry_Michel) presided the ceremony, while comedians Laurence Bibot, Dena, Ingrid Heiderscheidt, [Achille Ridolfi](/source/Achille_Ridolfi) and Bwanga Pilipili co-hosted the show.[3]

The nominees for the 11th Magritte Awards were announced on 12 January 2022.[4] Films with the most nominations were *[Madly in Life](/source/Madly_in_Life)* with twelve, followed by *[Playground](/source/Playground_(2021_film))* with ten, and *[Adoration](/source/Adoration_(2019_film))* and *[The Restless](/source/The_Restless_(2021_film))* with six. The winners were announced during the awards ceremony on 12 February 2022.[5] *Madly in Life* won seven awards, including [Best Film](/source/Magritte_Award_for_Best_Film). Other multiple winners were *Playground* with seven awards and *[Titane](/source/Titane)* with two.
