The **11th ACTRA Awards** were presented on May 12, 1982.[1] The ceremony was hosted by [Jim Carrey](/source/Jim_Carrey) and [Dixie Seatle](/source/Dixie_Seatle).[1]

The [Canadian Broadcasting Corporation](/source/Canadian_Broadcasting_Corporation), as the broadcaster of the ceremony, had originally proposed [Dan Aykroyd](/source/Dan_Aykroyd) as host,[2] but he was rejected by ACTRA on the grounds that he was working in the United States and not an active ACTRA member.[3]
